Rowing intervals

Some time ago we introduced a bunch of new rowers via a two weekend rowing course. With short notice we decided to hold an extra session. Out of the eight "beginners" only Johan could show up with short notice. Leif (another instructor) also joined Lars and me in order to provide thorough support.

06:45 this beautiful Sunday we showed up at the boathouse and were met with fantastic conditions (photo taken after the session while enjoying well deserved a post-rowing cup of coffee):

It doesn't get much better than this.

We swept our way down to Rüschlikon in Jubilee in a nice, stable pace (yes, under relative silence for those complaining about the amount of instructions during the course...).

After the turning point we decided to do some 30 stroke intervals. Once we had done seven of those and were done, "we" determined this was so good, that we decided to also do a bonus one.

I am happy to see that this was indeed reflected in (my) heart rate, as it should be:

Guess when/where intervals were done...

All in all, an excellent and exhaustive session - thank you!
